ARTIST STATEMENT

I’ve always had an interest in art ever since I can remember but I became serious about art when I was attending La Junta High School. There I learned many different techniques and mediums to work in. That was also when I learned “Things I create are only made complete by those who enjoy them.” Brian Warner. I’ve had ups and downs in developing my own personal style. Through the years I’ve found my voice through my art work, excelling in charcoal, watercolor and photography. My emphasis is to teach art in a way each student can relate to. I want to get students to do more than just scratching the surface with their talent and realize there is a whole world of art and creativity waiting for them.
